Who we are

Creath (CreathLabs) operates the Creath art marketplace from No 13, Adesegun Okunuga Street, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, Nigeria. For anything in this policy, contact us at info@creath.io.

Information you give us

Account details: your name or username, email address and password (stored only in hashed form). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.

Profile details you choose to add, such as a bio, social links, location and images. Artists also give us a wallet address for payouts; creator applications may include a portfolio.

Purchase details: the artworks you buy, amounts, payment references and, for card payments, a phone number required by our payment provider.

Delivery details for physical artworks: recipient name, phone number, optional email, address and delivery notes.

Information collected automatically

Activity on the marketplace — such as artworks you like or add to your cart — and technical information like your IP address, browser and device, which we use to run and secure the service.

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. It may set cookies in your browser.

How we use your information

To create and secure your account; to process purchases, transfer artwork certificates to your wallet and deliver physical works; to pay artists; to send account, purchase and delivery emails; to prevent fraud and abuse; and to improve Creath. We only send marketing emails, such as our newsletter, if you subscribe.

Wallets and the blockchain

If you don't connect your own wallet, we create one for you through our wallet provider, Privy, and manage it on your behalf.

Artwork certificates and USDC payments are recorded on a public blockchain (Optimism). Wallet addresses and transactions are visible to anyone and cannot be changed or deleted — by us or anyone else.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed to run Creath: with GlobalPay to process card and bank-transfer payments; with Privy for wallet infrastructure; with couriers, who receive your delivery address and phone number to deliver your artwork; with the artist whose work you bought; and with the providers that host our service, store files and send our emails.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect Creath, our users or the public from fraud or harm.

How long we keep it

Account information is kept while your account is open. Purchase records are kept as long as needed for accounting, tax and legal purposes. Saved addresses stay until you delete them; the copy attached to a past order is kept with that order's record. Blockchain records are permanent.

How we protect it

Passwords are stored as hashes, never in plain text, and access to personal information is limited to the people and services that need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us straight away if you notice anything unusual on your account.

Your choices and rights

You can update your profile and manage your saved addresses at any time from your account and the Shipping details page, and unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any of them.

Depending on where you live, data-protection law — including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 — may give you the right to access, correct or delete your information, or to object to how we use it. To make a request, email info@creath.io. Some records, such as completed purchases and blockchain transactions, may need to be kept or cannot be erased.

Children

Creath is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page, and tell you directly about any significant changes.
